As an employer, we hold ourselves to the highest possible standard, and we are looking for only the most dedicated teachers. Our staff has cared for and educated thousands of children in Connecticut, proudly serving our families since 1997. Some of our teachers have been with us for over twenty five years, and we are proud to be a business that works for our employees just as much as they work for us. This mutually respectful relationship allows our teachers to focus on providing the best care possible, making a profound difference in the lives of all B&E children. Simply put, teachers matter, and we take care of our own.

If you’re passionate about a career in child care and early education, then you’ve come to the right place. By providing competitive wages and benefits, we attract the best talent in the industry. We prefer for all of our teachers to hold a degree in Early Childhood Education with relevant experience, but we evaluate candidates holistically. Out of the talented pool of applications we receive, the candidates who stand out to us most are positive and lively!

TEACHER DEVELOPMENT, EVENTS, & SOCIALS

Annual Summer Team Gathering

Celebrating ‘Back to School’ is a BIG deal at Bright & Early! Teachers enthusiastically prepare their classrooms, plan curriculum activities, and stock art supplies to create a welcoming, happy place for children each September. Bright & Early appreciates all this effort by planning an end of summer celebration teacher gathering. Many past years have been held at Lenny & Joe’s in Madison and include unlimited seafood, ice cream, and many carousel rides! It is exciting to see the number of participants grow each year as more Bright & Early centers join our growing community.

Professional Development Days

Each October and January teachers meet and participate as a group for all day events of group educational trainings and activities. The center director prepares the day’s agenda with appropriate speakers and team events. Bright & Early policies are reviewed to ensure all teachers have up to date early childhood education trainings benefiting the teacher experience and the children in their care.

Teacher Appreciation Week

Handwritten thank you notes from families, bouquets of fresh flowers, catered luncheons, dessert tables, hand massages, and special gifts are just some of the lovely happenings during the annual teacher appreciation week! Bright & Early teachers are the heart and soul of each center, and they are appreciated year-round, and especially during this celebratory time.

A-Team Meetings

Bright & Early center directors meet monthly with the executive and regional directors to review and plan the Year of Program Planning events and activities, as well as exchange ideas on how to provide the best experience for families, children, and teachers. This ongoing ‘center to center’ support network has been heralded as one of the best attributes of being a part of the Bright & Early A-Team.
