Weather Related Closings
Bright & Early may close for inclement weather when absolutely necessary, but we do our best to remain open because we know the entire community depends on our services. We have parents at our centers who are health care workers, first responders, other essential workers, and more who need to get to work and need care for their children. We take this responsibility seriously.
Closings will be announced via email and/or text to families, and on the center’s Facebook page.
Holiday Closings
We have scheduled closings for the following holidays:
- New Year’s Day*
- Martin Luther King, Jr. Day (for Teacher Professional Development)
- Good Friday
- Memorial Day
- Juneteenth*
- Independence Day*
- Labor Day
- Indigenous Peoples’ Day (for Teacher Professional Development)
- Thanksgiving Day & Friday after
- Christmas Eve Day – closed if it falls on a weekday
- Christmas Day*
- Christmas Day After – closed if it falls on a weekday
*If these holidays falls on a weekend, the observed weekday(s) will be posted
Professional Development Day Closings
Bright & Early closes for annual scheduled Professional Development Days to provide teachers the opportunity to participate in early childhood educational trainings and team building activities:
- Martin Luther King, Jr. Day
- Third Monday of August
- Indigenous Peoples’ Day
